The CDCC welcomes and applauds the Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram’s recent decision to impose Governor Rule in the greater interest of the people of Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC). In the 10th CADC, there were frequent changes of 5 Chief Executive Members (CEM), as well as gross corruption and massive illegal appoints that was even mentioned and backed by one of the MNF MDC in his complaint letter to the Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram.


With the 10th CADC term to end in April, all political parties, and prominent NGOs on 09/09/2022 in a joint meeting in Kamalanagar resolved to request for election in February 2023 and the CDCC in line with that resolution further requests the Hon’ble Governor to Mizoram invoke section 16[1](a) of the Six schedules of the constitution of India to call for a fresh early election in Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC).
