Kamalanagar: In another setback for ruling Mizo National Front (MNF), 51 MNF Party Workers, including existing Village Council President (VCP) of Kamalanagar III &  Organizer of CDMNF Dangu  Moni Sangka Chakma, Dangu Talukdar Chakma, MNF VCM, Dangubi Lakhi lota Chakma, MNF VCM of Kamalanagar III quit the MNF party and joined BJP on 28th February 2023 (Tuesday) in the august presence of Chakma veteran politician and former state minister, Dangu Nirupam Chakma and former legislator Dangu Alak Bikash Chakma.

The leaders were inducted into the BJP at an induction program held at the BJP District Headquarters at Kamalanagar, CADC, Mizoram. The other MNF party workers who joined BJP hail from Kamalanagar  III which falls under Kamalanagar 'S' MDC constituency. 

Dangu Moni Sangka Chakma while speaking at the program alleged that Chakma district MNF leaders have failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people of CADC. He also said that there is no future prospect in the MNF. Chakma also said that if the people of CADC want real developments to happen then all should join the World's largest political party under the leadership of Dangu Narendra Modi.In their joining letter into the BJP, they have alleged that MNF Party under the leadership of CM Pu Zoramthanga, have betrayed the people of Mizoram as they failed the Socio Economic Development Programmes (SEDP) so miserably.
