BJP Holds Protest against the 10th CADC’s Political Instability and strongly demands for imposition of Governor’s Rule in CADC
Kamalanagar: November, 10: A peaceful protest was carried out by the BJP CADC at the CADC’s Headquarters, Kamalanagar today in protest of the constant political crisis & instability and also for several financial irregularities, corruption and maladministration of the 10th CADC. The Governor of Mizoram has ordered a Vote of Confidence (Floor Test) in the Executive Committee of CADC conducted by the CADC’s Chairman, Shri Kali Kumar Tongchangya today in the Winter Session of the 10th CADC.
The District Committee of BJP CADC has carried out the peaceful procession from the Traffic Point, Bazarline, Kamalanagar-I to SDO (Civil) Chawngte Office via CADC’s Secretariat Building at 11:30 am onwards. A memorandum was submitted to the Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram through SDO (Civil) Chawngte.
In its Memorandum, the BJP CADC alleged that the rival MNF MDCs of the present CEM Shri Buddha Lila Chakma have been camping at CADC’s Rest House, Kamalanagar-II since 8th November, 2022 for removal of the present CEM of CADC and reportedly to propose and support another new CEM who will incidentally be the 6th CEM of CADC within a period of 4.5 years.
It is crystal clear that the existing MNF MDCs have completely failed to run the 10th CADC and there will be constant infighting and political instability of the 10th CADC whether Hon’ble Governor accept the proposal for appointment of another new CEM or to allow the continuation of the present Executive Committee of CADC headed by Shri Buddha Lila Chakma, they will carry on more corruptions despite 51 crores budget deficit, stated in the statement.
The BJP CADC also stated that due to constant changing of CEMs and political instability of the 10th CADC there is a great hamper to the development works and problems being faced by the employees and the general public of CADC. But unfortunately, the existing MNF MDCs are not bothered by the negative impact of the constant change of CEM and just run the 10th CADC based on their whims and fancies.
The BJP CADC leaders have strongly demanded to the Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram to not accept any more proposal for the appointment of a new CEM of CADC rather the 10th CADC be put under Governor’s Rule on the basis of huge corruption and political instability till certain period of time and thereafter dissolve the 10th CADC and call for a fresh General Elections to CADC to end the political instability of the 10th CADC.
